Kids Ministry

At Southgate, we believe our families are an essential building block to the spiritual growth of our children. Our focus and goal is to equip parents and families in their role of leading their children to Christ and to provide a safe and fun space for the seeds of God’s word to be planted in our children’s hearts. We want our children to know God, have a relationship with Jesus, and have a desire to share Christ with others. Our goal is to train children in the Truth so that they can stand as adults, thoroughly equipped for Christ’s service with a love for Jesus and His Word.

Quest Kids

Sunday BIBLE CLASSES

We offer Bible classes for kids of all ages every Sunday morning during our worship hour. Kids will start off in the auditorium with their parents for worship and be dismissed to their class at a designated time. Parents will pick up their children following service at our Check In Station. 

Classes are offered for children 0 years-5th grade


Our classes use many methods to teach the Bible to our children using storytelling, crafts, games, and activities. Our focus with every lesson is to point our kids to Christ and to ultimately develop a personal relationship with God. 

Worship and The Word

We offer a special class time during our 9 am Sunday Bible Class hour.  We use this time as a time of worship.  Our worship time includes singing, prayer time, and a bible lesson. 


SuMMIT KIDS!

Summit Kids! is a offered the last Sunday of each month for our 2nd-5th graders. During this event, kids will participate in a service project together and share in a devotional. Dinner is also provided. 

events & activities

We host several events throughout the year which include Vacation Bible School, an annual Easter event, and an annual fall event such as Trunk or Treat. We also have various opportunities for our kids to participate in service. At Southgate, we are always seeking new ways to include Southgate Kids in our ministries.
